Wicked wee weegie weekend :)
Just got back from Glasgow this morning (monday) and deeear god, that was the longest day ever, driving at 7.15am should just be illegal...simple as that - I had to make a mandatory coffee shot stop so i didnt fall asleep at the wheel! Went to pick up my EZ from Dean, as he said that it performed very well for him as a surf boat, which is good news for me and cornwall in October :) But still, a browns sandwich and a bit of work later and I did at least one good thing in a spectacularly unproductive day and submitted my abstract to a conference in Napa Valley!Woop!
I had a wicked weekend, was the first time ive been up to the awesomeness of Scotland and not been boating. I was really worried that Dave, and me, would get dead bored but it turned out ok :) Arrived Friday all taped up and everyone in the pub went 'what the hell is that?' and had a good old poke at it which was funny! Anyway, Saturday, rocktape came off and went on a rideout! Riding shotgun on a ninja on a sunny day in scotland? Dont mind if I do! Gave me a chance to sit back and think about stuff whilst going fast in the sunshine, was amazing! Good weather, good roads, great ride... really happy for the afternoon :)
Totally KO'd after, awesome. Did manage to get something constructive on on Sunday though...The Cobbler from Arrochar, aka Ben Arthur, 2946ft or 884m, dry on the way up, SOAKED on the way down! If youve not done it, go up the direct route and down the zig zag biker path, its much to boring to ascend on! Very boggy on the descent to the beginning of that bike track too, even with boots on so had great fun sloshing about in it!!
A beautiful wander about. Ill be back. So even with a broken shoulder, getting out and about is the most important thing, not cancelling plans to do things, just modify them a bit. I managed to spend time at 90mph (wellllll...!) and 2000ft up so I was happy :)
