Gear review: Ronhill Women's Trail Fuel Shorts
So im always looking online for kit reviews, so I figure that by reviewing my own kit it might help someone else :) ...
Ive been after some shorts for a while, mine are sporting holes in the crotch and a bum thats see through enough that I can only wear black underwear with them now...time for an upgrade me thinks...!

Features:
When I saw these on the peg, I just always assumed they were just another pair of Ronhill poncey bloody Road runner shorts that I couldn't afford. How wrong was I!
I was in Run4it in town I think when Isi was visiting and I was having a mooch and saw these on the shelf, saw the label said trail, so I thought ''ok, I'll bite, what have they got...'' and discovered that actually they had was more features than I thought and maybe Ronhill can do proper kit after all!

They have a light and airy outer which ive always wanted, and it has several plastic loops for housing gels, and a pocket on the arse which you will have seen on almost every pair of shorts on the planet, but it's bigger than most of them. Ok, cool. So the gel loops I remain skeptical about but I'm feeling open minded. It appears to have side pockets which initially seemed to disappointingly to only let air in, but turns out, these shorts have the most useful pockets ever actually on the lycra legging underneath! Got my phone, keys and credit card with no jangling about in there! Win!
Also found out that those pockets are designed to take the Ronhill Trail fuel bottles, so they can take fluids with you as well, with no bum bag, and no rucksack. Well, i'm sold.

Fit:
Im a size 10 generally, with not much in the way of a booty, and the 10 was massive. After i saw these i tried on the 8 and the 10 and the 8 was definitely better. Any smaller and the waistband would be horrendous, and the 10 with loaded pockets would fall off me I think if I jumped about. There is a bit of bag around the bikini line/top of leg area and they don't feel tight, but yeah, theyre comfy enough for sure. They just get quite sweaty!
Although the extra space in there meant that when I was given free socks for Dave and me the other day at run club when asics were in, that I could carry them home stuffed in my shorts....hehehehehe #silverlining #lookinglikeashoplifter

Price:
Theyre expensive. No two ways about it at £45 full price. But thankfully, im a small person and I got them on sale for £20...hurrah!
Ive been using these now for a few weeks, got two hill races in them as well which they saw me through nicely and still looking good as new. Tempted to take a dye to the pink which is starting to grate on me but meh, will still wear them :D
