Recovery Part V - New Tape tactics!

So, when i was away on my weekend in Glasgow, Dave taped me up so last week was week 3 in rocktape, and I changed tactics! We had the whole taped up to the eyeballs as in that first youtube video i put up but with increasing strength, ive toned it down to still provide shoulder suppoert but somethign a little less integral.

I went for strips two and three from the original video which are the ones from the deltoid up to the neck on the photo, and then a front and back arm chain that i found on the website and as recommeded by that physio, a.k.a. ROCKDOC!, Paul who gave me that advice and it looks a little like this....(making no apologies for the photos again, this is literally 5 minutes after my run!)





Works pretty well, Dave had to help me this week as Dave (asis away doing hockey masters tournament first aiding. Workd pretty well, photos taken post run on Friday after 4 runs, 6 showers, sleeping in it, a climbing session, a gym session and many press ups this week, oh and cycling to and from work in the rain. Very little peeling except on corners and around the back of my neck where it caught some hair which is fine! Been back on the water and even got to take my old boat out for a spin...thank Adie (a.k.a. the SHADOOWWWW!)




Took the tape off on Sunday after my weekend of many many miles and much beer!! Started aching a bit by the time i rode the bike back home so goes that its helping. Will be running around on Monday with it off but will be putting some back on again over the weekend of WWPF....which is this weekend coming!!
