20th March 16 Cheeky Ben Vane day

Today was a cheeky 'im not getting out of bed early' day wandering up Ben Vane, ended up being a glorious day, wall to wall sunshine after a less than optimistic weather forecast so it was a winner! We did take an axe each as there was some small snow patches about but we didnt need them. Came across a few interesting folks who were navigating with phone maps and stuff, who started off correcting our slight initial wrong turn and then barelling on ahead of us, in the wrong direction...I did feel bad when we left them to it but they were too far away to shout to! Plus I found a 'not completely rubbish' pair of sunnies on the floor on the way up so I pilfered those and they were quite good for drinking coffee at the Inveruglas cafe on the Loch after :) a nice day except for the Loch Lomond road traffic....rage!
