NSR 2015

Just returned from NSR 2015, it was a record turnout apparently and it was a great weekend. Ive just discovered at work this morning that I STILL have glitter on my face and the UV paint just about came off...oops.

I was part of the judging team this year for the first time and it was pretty fun, alongside Beth, we were shouting until we could shout no more encouragement and banter across the course. A few memorable runs were members of York and Strathclyde University Canoe Clubs, particularly Glen from Strath who came down in a kilt over his deck and a horse mask on his face leaving him pretty blind so definitely a good effort...shame I didn't have a camera :( !

I was supposed to be competing myself, and I did a heat but alas, there was a numbering issue and I never made it but ill be back next year if I'm allowed! :D Thanks to all the organisers at Leeds Uni Canoe Club, to Beth for inviting me to judge and I hope that she'll have me back, to York Uni Canoe Club for buying mea ticket and making Dave and I a costume each and lastly, to Strathclyde for being heroes and showing up after a 9 hour journey! Well done to Beth, Beth and Jonny for winning the womens expert (I would love to have been there to give you a run for your money missus :P! not!), old skool and mens expert categories!! Nice one everyone, and heres a few photos from this year to help us get excited for the next one... #NSR2016 !!
