18 miles!

Today I did my longest run ever, and i do mean long and i do mean the longest ever! ever ever ever!

Breaking it up into the three chunks really helps, on the way to meet the ah/mrf guys, the session with them, any extras that they do, and then the way home....if I can get like 7-10km in all of those then ill be cooking on gas I reckon! The first leg and the session were both great today, a session was a park tour of the west end with Simon leading, was great actualy got to see lots of new bit of Glasgow, and new parks to run into which was cool. Back to the shop and Julia announces that she and Mark are going along to Lock 27 which is 5 miles added on so I was immediately relieved as running with people is far easier, even though it took me ages to get to that conclusion after years of running alone! I started getting tired on the way up there, but by the time we got to Lock 27, we must have been at about 16 miles and I was pretty well gubbed! I ran out of the Lock area, and over the cleveland road hill and down the other side and with a few walky bits, and more running, i made it back to kelvingrove subway in the end....and a reading of 29.2km would normally have made me be like, go on, make it 30! It drove my OCD made, but it was over 18 miles, and honestly, I just couldnt,... I was gubbed! I went to the coop, struggled using a pin machine (!), bought a litre of lucozade original, and a fruit pastel lolly and feasted on sugary goodness and made my way home on the subway.

Decided this afternoon i should really look into compression leggings..........!
